How did you get shops box on your blog?

I used the code here and placed it under the <body> tag of my blog’s HTML. I made banners for each store and uploaded them to Tinypic, which allowed me to retrieve the URL to insert into the “imgurl” section of the code. 

How do you edit your photos/What program do you use?

I use Photofiltre* to edit most of my photos and sometimes I edit on my phone using the app VSCO and/or Meitu. The way I edit differs for each photo, depending on the brightness etc of the original image. However, in general I play around with the brightness, saturation, contrast, sharpness, etc until I’m satisfied with it. 

*Photofiltre is a free program for Windows that has most of the same functions as Photoshop.

Sponsorships 

How do sponsorships/affiliations work? 

In short, it is a partnership/collaboration between you (the blogger) and a business, typically an online one. Your job is to help the store to boost its online presence, whether it be generating traffic, or increasing sales. Sometimes, you may be given a unique discount code (like the ones in my shops scroll box!) which you can then share with your followers. Once you reach a certain target  - this will depend for each store - you may be given store credit or free products from the store. Some stores also offer commission revenue whenever you help them make a sale.

I’m interested in being sponsored but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any tips?

Many stores have a fashion blogger/affiliate link on their website, so be on the lookout for that and go on from the instructions there. If not, I would suggest that you contact the store directly i.e. via email. Introduce yourself, attach a link to your blog, a screenshot of your follower count and links to any past reviews you’ve done. The most important thing is to be genuine and don’t be afraid to showcase your personality! Explain why you would like to be sponsored, how the store would benefit, how you would promote the store etc. Good luck!

How many followers do you need to be sponsored?

Each store will have different requirements, for example I have seen some stores requiring 1000 followers, and others 10K. Hence it’s best to check their website or contact them directly.
